A Few Easy Steps: Cisco IOS, Set Speed and Duplex

In this session of A Few Easy Steps, we will set the Speed and Duplex on a Cisco Switch.

In General this will work on any Cisco IOS Device.

Session Prerequisites:

  • You have terminal or console access to your Cisco device.

Session Assumptions:

  • We will be Using Interface FastEthernet 0/13
  • Speed will be 100 Mbps
  • Duplex Will be Full

Our goals of this session are:

  • Set Speed to 100
  • Set Duplex to Full
